Something wrong with telemetry on 70cm. Latest signal I've received is strongly skeved.

Yes, its like that in the end of the day when the sun getting low the cells cant provide enough power for the rtty, as the complete tracker only weighs in on 3,5gram I have made quite some shortcuts to keep the weight so low, so no Supercaps or advanced voltage regulation is fitted, but better to have rtty enabaled non the less, I think its quite fun rx:n that mode

Could You please describe Your tracker in details. Schematic ? cpu ? solar supply ? radio module ? antena ?

What is the shift value and how often does it transmit RTTY? Does it keep QRG stable?

EDIT: OK, I can hear it - 440Hz shift, pairs of frames every few minutes (2-3 I believe).
QRG was not stable, but now seems to be more fixed.
Signal a little to weak for me yet.

Have You tried use supercapacitors to stabilize voltage? A lot of them can be used below -20*C, price less than one euro for 30F.

How You keep GPS on 'hot state' in such variable voltage/power? Do you load Almanac from flash or use backup cap to keep NVRAM?

Supercapacitors weigh way to much , even the smaller ones is 0,5-1 gram.

I have connected the v-backup direct to solar so it will have a voltage never going under 1,5V which if iirc the lowest voltage needed to keep the the almanac in memory.

Today I saw one packet was received by Your station. It' means that balloon transmitting also on HF bands (what frequency)?
Yesterday Hysplit show that balloon can be back to Poland in few days

yes, the balloon have after circeling over Russia for the last few days returned and is now over N East of Poland and is covering most of it!

SA6BSS po zaliczeniu Atlantyku i długiej pokrętnej wędrówce po Europie zdaje się kierować w naszą stronę, aktualnie jest w okolicach Iwano-Frankowska i na ten moment w SP8 powinien być słyszalny.Leci powolutku, raczej do końca dnia się nie dowlecze. Ciekawe czy na pokładzie jest coś więcej niż APRS
