Szkoda że się skończyło... Doświadczenie z cyfrową telewizją bardzo udany, choć przydałby sie przelot nad naszym krajem za dnia. Nawet mimo szczelnej warstwy chmur nad większością Europy.
Nie mogę się doszukać jakichs informacji na temat szczegółów technicznych Oriona - np jak uzyskano stabilność obrazu, jakie było zasilanie, jaką mocą pracował nadajnik. Może ktoś coś wie?

Thanks for tracking, guys! It was a great flight. First time I tracked a 300 baud payload, and my first experience with SSDV too.
Shame it didn't burst a bit earlier, Lithuania is more accessible than Belarus..

Yes, that was great experience! Images from almost 40km. It gave the feeling of doors to space. And it all went smooth without technical problems. That was the most advanced mission in the last days.

Thank you for being with us in the task of tracking. Feel invited to other missions. New ones are coming, also from Poland. We need tracking stations in the East.

EDIT: if it is possible, it would be much better if you name your station by your callsign. It gives chances to find you (by radio, by ham databases, ...) to send you a message, for example when balloon is coming to your vicinity (and you are the very last chance to track it).

Piotr, I'm not a licensed amateur yet, I don't have a callsign. However I'm on the #highaltitude IRC channel on Freenode with all the other UKHAS members, so, if there's a flight on spacenear.us heading my way, there's a slim chance it will pass me unnoticed. I was ready for the SP5NVX pico balloon last weekend, but unfortunately it didn't float for long.
Yesterday evening I did warn Latvian radio enthusiasts about this ORION flight, but maybe because of the short notice or early hours, or wind, or some other excuse they didn't join in tracking this time, they have tracked a few flights before. However the Estonian guy (he's on that channel too) got a few packets. Just give us something to track and we have this area covered.

Dotyczy jak zrealizowane było robienie zdjęć z balona.
Bardzo fajna i przemyślana konstrukcja. Szkoda rzeczywiście że poleciał za granice może u nas dało by się to odszukać i odesłać do właściciela.

I know you all will be busy tomorrow tracking the Orient Express to Asia, but you should also know that later in the day there will be a bunch of high altitude balloons incomming from the UK trying to catch Tom's balloon. Total of five balloons or more, ten payloads.

SNOW and SLEET are paper planes that will be released over the North Sea, CLOUDY is a SSDV payload that will be released over Poland (if all goes according to the plan, of course).

Swoją drogą patrząc na mapę Spacenear jestem niezmiernie dumny: widzę tam dwie potęgi krótkofalarskie w europie: GB i PL. Czy to nie fajne?
