AT78 is a very simple antenna. And, not so much problems up there.
There are: contact inside between central tube and central part of cable connector, contact between mast and antenna, and water condensate inside antenna. That"s all. For that reason, SWR is changed on tuning frequence. I"ve made 400 antennas and not see influence of cable. You need to check and cleane it.
