"Rig Configuration:
This program requires the FT736r to be connected to one of the serial ports (Comm 1 - 4) through a level converter such as the (overpriced) FIF-232C. (ATTENTION YAESU: STOP THE STUPIDITY AND INCLUDE A REAL RS-232 PORT ON YOUR NEXT RIG!) There are also a variety of (much lower cost) alternatives available for the enterprising home-brewer. Since this program does not assert the RTS/CTS lines, certain self powered designs (which take their power from the port signals) may not work. The program will work (with reduced functionality) with some of the popular “one-way” interfaces which send commands to the rig, but don’t return any information back to the computer."
