"if you were looking to use the APRS functionality, you will find it lacking. This radio struggles to decode APRS. I tried operating APRS on all three VFO, and it fails to decode at least 75% of incoming reports. I was generating a beacon with my Kenwood TH-D74 sitting meters away, and it could not received them. I was initially running the TH-D74 at EL (0.05W) to avoid overloading the receiver on the RT-950Pro. The signal meter showed it received the transmission, but it failed to decode the beacon. I tried again at L (0.5W), still nothing. I moved the radios further apart and tried Mid, still nothing. I then connected the radio to my J-pole antennal, 60ft above the house, and still nothing. In contrast, My FT-2D received all of those beacons without issue. I left the radio connected to the J-pole for several hours, but it failed to decode all but a handful of packets. I also enabled the digipeater function, likely due to its failure to decode, it never repeated a single packet, or if it did, it failed to update the PATH in accordance with new paradigm."
Z czego rozumiem, że potrafi dekodować ramki APRS, ale czyni to (i nie tylko to) bardzo kiepsko.
