Serdecznie pozdrawiam , Jozek SP6FPH PS W internecie mozna kupic za 300S ULEPSZONA WERSJE TEGO MODULU To informacja dla wlascicieli TS930 PIEXX TS-930SE Digital Board for the Kenwood TS-930, AC7RG napisal: 04-23-2003, 11:50 PM I bought a second TS-930s off of eBay about a month ago. #The seller said, as usual, it was "a beautiful rig and in near mint condition." #However, it was pretty obvious that the digital board was in bad shape (a good distance from being "mint") #I plugged it in and the display flashed on and off, the RIT beeped on and off, and just about every function on the digital board was faulty. #It seems I had managed to purchase one of the infamous early models of the 930s with the poorly manufactured digital boards in it. #The seller said he had used the 930 to make "several contacts," so I am certain he knew of the digital board problems. I felt as if I had been mugged on eBay, as I paid way too much for a malfunctioning 930. #Hence, I commenced to searching the internet for historical data concerning this problem. I discovered a website by Dave Leeson, W6NL, (a GREAT guy) http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif that mentioned the problems in the digital board, and also mentioned that a company named "Piexx" made a replacement board for the digital unit on the TS-930s. #I emailed Dave and he seemed to think it was the digital unit. #I contacted Piexx and they did indeed make a modern (eprom etc) replacement digital board. #I was naturally skeptical if it would solve my problems -- IT DID! #The TS-930s works perfectly now. # This Piexx replacement board makes the 930 one awesome transceiver. #99 memories, no digital board problems, INCREDIBLE tuning speed, computer control, and just about everything a ham could ask for in an HF transceiver. #Chris at Piexx is super fast on email assistance and this gentleman knows his TS-930s! #The board even told me that the PLL was off lock in the 17 meter band with a simple message on the 930's display, "PLLXXX.X" # Thus, it let me know that #VCO number 2 needed adjustment (thanks to Chris at Piexx for translating).# All and all, Piexx saved the day for an old TS-930sat that might have been scrapped. #I now have two great TS-930's for DXing. #If you want to turn your TS-930s into a fantastic rig, get this board. #It took me 10 minutes to install and Chris'instructions are simple and written for the layman although this is plug n' play all the way.#Current cost is $259 plus $8 shipping and Chris got it to me in 2 days. #Excellent company and excellent service.
